Walibi Belgium have announced plans for Dock World which will be a newly themed area with a brand new roller coaster at the park.
As the park continues to evolve this brand new area will be having an exciting family roller coaster (Walibi Belgium’s 10th) which currently has the project name, Speed Boat.
Dock World will embrace a maritime theme that’s designed to replicate the atmosphere of a bustling harbour.
Featuring a brand new Gerstlauer family-friendly roller coaster the ride will span 925 metres in length and reach a top speed of 65 km /h. The ride will also feature three launches across a winding layout including airtime hills and a portion of the ride that will partially travel over water.
Several existing attractions will also be re-themed to fit in with the new harbour with Psyke Underground (an indoor Schwarzkopf coaster) will be returning to its original name, Turbine.
Similarly, the Flash Back water ride will also be given a new maritime theme along with the teacups ride which will be named as the ride is set to receive crab-shaped cars to compliment its new harbour surroundings.
2025 is the year Dock World at Walibi Belgium will open but no specific opening date has been mentioned at this stage.
