Carnival of Screams at Alton Towers looks set for a 2020 return.
Our rumour mill has been churning out golden nuggets these last few months and we have another one today.
We have been told that Carnival of Screams will 100% be back for the 2020 Scarefest season. A maze that was last seen in 2013.
Or a maze very similar at least as clown theming has been spotted and various other set pieces that are ‘circus’ themed.
This same source told us about The Attic returning for 2020 and now that Hex is open all of The Attic queueline and more is now fully visable and looks ready to be included in the Scarefest line-up in some capacity.
Debuting in 2010 this clown based Carnival consisted of a circus theme scare maze.
Entertaining, crazy and colourful the maze included a fortune teller, a giant escaped gorilla, a puppet room and a wheel of torture.
The very same wheel that made an appearance in the 2020 Scarefest recruitment poster might I add.
The maze occupied several locations but guests have spotted shipping containers set up near Spinball Whizzer.
Outdoor mazes will certainly be more frequent across many theme park Halloween events this year due to the pandemic and this would be a perfect and fitting return for a fan favourite maze.
Carnival of Screams was a genuinely scary attraction which is rare at Alton Towers but with a mix of scares and humour this is certainly one not to be missed!
