With Thorpe Park releasing their 2020 short break early deals in addition to a new blog about what to look forward to in 2020 it seems the park potentially has something else more secret in store for us.
A New Ride at Thorpe Park?
First posted on Instagram by thorpeparkmaniac it seems as though something is afoot.
A large removal of bushes and trees has been undertaken at the park. This wouldn’t usually raise an eyebrow but it just so happens to be on a certain plot of land. A plot of land which fans have long speculated would be home to a new ride.
This ground clearance has amped up speculation of the much anticipated long-overdue coaster at Thorpe Park.
We imagine if this is infact a new coaster (not a restaurant or new hotel) we will get a public consultation or similar late 2021 or early 2022.
For me, there’s no alternative.
It HAS to be a coaster.
The clearance is far too big for a hotel or a restaurant and my little coaster brain refuses to think any other way.
It’s long overdue and with rumours that the Platform 15 scare maze will disappear after the 2021 season (thank god it was awful) not to mention the Loggers Leap rumours of that ride FINALLY being removed starting late 2021 it seems that the 2022 season onwards is looking exciting indeed!

Thorpe will absolutely go big or go home (forget an RMC for now) but it’ll be a game changer and with so much time to plan for the new coaster it’s going to be special.
In other news in a recent Thorpe Park blog post its confirmed that Creek Freak Massacre is here to stay for future Fright Nights events.
This comes as wonderful news to Thorpe Park fans as it was voted the No.1 maze in our 2019 Fright Nights poll.
Do you think a new ride at Thorpe Park is on the way?
We sure do!
