Alton Towers Enterprise ride has officially left the Alton Towers Resort line-up. But wait, there’s more to this story than meets the eye.
Yesterday, a member of the public enquired about the ride and received a reply from the official Alton Towers Twitter page.

The response is short and rather blunt without a care in the world as to its departure but it’s the closest we’ve come to an official update regarding the ride considering it has been out of action for a while now.
This Huss Rides manufactured ride has been operating at Alton Towers since 1984 when its was originally located in Festival Park (now Dark Forest).
Before leaving Festival Park the ride was relocated onto the former site of the Spider in 1993 and ran there for four years until 1997 before it was eventually relocated to X-Sector and has been operating there since 1998.
Gravity keeps you in your seat with no belt or harness around the guest as you climb into your cabin and rotate 360 degrees via a rotating arm.
The ride was closed for the 2021 season and it seems as though it has now gone for good. Or has it?
Personally, I’m not a huge fan of the ride and I’m glad it’s left the park but I absolutely guarantee that the ride will be back in some shape or form as for some reason the park wants to hold on to this relic for absolutely no reason that I can fathom.
I simply think this is a case of a staff member being told that the ride is leaving the park…. and leaving off the fact that it may be for maintenance or repair as it certainly needs it!
It’s hilarious to see social media reaction to the ride and it is equally crazy how many people suddenly miss a ride and sing its praises when it has gone yet rarely raved about it whilst it was open. It’s like moaning about a partner you’re with and then suddenly missing them like they were the best thing since sliced bread when you guys breakup.
Stay tuned for further developments as I don’t think Enterprise will be leaving us just yet (sadly).
