Alton Towers Garden Lantern Trail Festive Days Out Review

Alton Towers Festive Days Out

Step into the world of fairytales with the Alton Towers Garden Lantern Trail.

A land of mysteries and storybook tales we explore the world of Peter Pan, Jack and the Beanstalk and other notable fairytale characters that make their appearance as you walk through this lantern lit wonderland.

Alton Towers Festive Days Out is such a great addition to the 2020 calendar.

The fact that the theme parks even opened this year was a miracle in itself let alone putting on extra events such as Scarefest, Oktoberfest and now Festive Days Out.

An experience usually only open to hotel guests the Garden Lantern Trail was an absolute delight I only wished it was longer.

Alton Towers Garden Lights Trail

As you walk through the gardens you encounter various set pieces as actors roam the gardens and act out their various storybook scenarios.

The children around us were absolutely loving it and with just how wonderfully the garden trail was lit up you could be any age to truly appreciate the effort that has gone into this particular experience.

Free of charge and inclusive of the Festive Days Out ticket price we definitely felt as though we had good value for money.

It would have been nicer to have more scenes dotted around the experience as the walk only lasted around 8 minutes but you can easily stay in there to take in some of the longer scenes as the actors delivered their lines.

The trail ended with a wonderful set piece music box with a lady inside speaking to the families as they passed and wishing us all a Merry Christmas.
