Alton Towers Water Park Set To ReOpen This Weekend

Alton Towers Water Park

The Alton Towers Water Park based atthe Splash Landings hotel will be reopned this weekend the park confirms.

Saturday July 25th will mark the reopening of the water park with the announcement being posted by the theme park on social media.

The announcement read as follows:

“Make a splash from Saturday 25th July – in line with Government guidelines, our wacky Waterpark is back!”

Social distancing measures have been implemented throughout the water park and tickets must be booked in advance in order to maintain visitor numbers.

Since Alton Towers has reopened temperature checks are being conducted along with various spacing markers around the park and face masks are mandatory on rides (not water park rides though it seems which makes sense)

Hand santisers have also been installed around the resort at both entrance and exits.

Riders are only able to go on roller coasters and rides within their groups.

The last method has contributed to some extremley long queues at the resort with average minimum wait times of around 60 minutes for some rides with the parks GCI wooden coaster Wicker Man racking up a daily average queue time wait of 2 hours!
