Aquarabia water theme park has today been announced as the name of the new addition to Qiddiya City situated right next to Qidiyya Six Flags.
This project may just be one of the most exciting developments I’ve ever had the pleasure of tracking and today the news got even more exciting as a trailer was released promoting Saudi Arabia’s first water theme park and the adjacent Six Flags Qiddiya theme park.

The theme park will include 22 rides along with four world record-breaking rides including the world’s tallest water coaster, the tallest drop body slide, the tallest water slide and the longest mat racer.
Both Aquarabia and Six Flags Qiddiya City aim to create 10,000 jobs.
This homegrown water theme park will draw visitors from across the globe and in addition to that guests can undertake rafting, kayaking, canyoneering, free solo climbing and cliff jumping!
There is also the world’s first underwater adventure ride featuring fully submersible cars!
Aquarabia will offer immersive, narrative-based design elements and attractions seldom seen in water parks, with its theming based around ancient desert wellsprings and Qiddiya’s wildlife seeking an oasis.
Commenting on the launch, Qiddiya Investment Company Managing Director Abdullah Aldawood said:
“This announcement marks a significant milestone for Qiddiya City and for the entertainment, tourism and sports sector. As we keep expanding our entertainment offering, Aquarabia and Six Flags Qiddiya City will fulfil the diverse entertainment needs of our community, contribute to the diversification of our economy and create job opportunities in the tourism sector.”

Aquarabia will compliment the Six Flags Qiddiya offering which will feature five world record-breaking coasters and the world’s tallest free-standing shot tower ride, the world’s tallest pendulum ride and the world’s tallest inverted top hat coaster next to the world’s tallest tilt coaster.
If all of that wasn’t enough then the jewel in the crown attraction is Falcon’s Flight which will be the world’s tallest, fastest and longer rollercoaster.
Through innovative design and infrastructure, visitors will move around effortlessly, minimizing journey time and maximizing enjoyment. The seamless connection between both new parks is a statement that in Qiddiya City, every moment spent exploring is filled with excitement.
Whilst it was originally planned for the Six Flags park to be completed at the end of this year we’ve had confirmation today that both the Six Flags park and Aquarabia will be completed in 2025.
Inside the Aquarabia Water Park

With numerous themed lands within Aquarabia let’s take a closer look at each one and what attractions are featured within each uniquely themed area.
Camel Rock

High above the pools of Aquarabia, Camel Rock is home to five attractions!
Junoon Drop

Over 42m tall and over 515m long Junoon Drop is set to be the world’s longest water coaster with the tallest gravity-defying drop.
Even just looking at the concept art it looks scary!
Jamal Joon
The longest mat racing water slide in the world with a 22m drop and over 232m long!
Speedy Jamezales
This ride consists of the longest drop on any body slide in the world!
Camel Racers
These inner-rube racing slides will pit you against your friends as you race down a 170m long slide with 3 individual slides to choose from.
Pick two buddies and race!
The Lazy Camel
Winding through the park get comfy and enjoy a nice subtle relaxing ride around the lazy river.
Surf Lagoon

Surf Lagoon is the place to be with its own beach where you can watch surfers break the waves.
There’s lounge space for surfers and sun seekers for over 200 people!
The land features one attraction only and that’s Surftopia.

Surftopia is the first surf pool in Saudi Arabia featuring a cove with four types of waves for all levels.
Whether you’re a first-timer or a pro surfer there’s plenty of practise to be had in Surf Lagoon.
The Den

Featuring two attractions The Den is more of a chill space / private playground for women and children.
Sip refreshments at the cafe, splash in the pools and chill around streams of falling water.
Kids slide ZipZapZoom will keep the little ones occupied along with SplishSplashSploosh which is full of splash pads, sprinklers and more!
Wave Wadi

Whilst a wave pool is the focal point of Wave Wadi there’s a special ride within it called Wadi Tahaddi which will take guests down 600m of white water rafting tubing.

If that’s not your thing then you can chill out at Amwaj Bay and enjoy the state-of-the-art wave pool!

Herding Grounds

Herding Grounds is something unheard of for a water park as steep cliff faces and raging river challenges dive people head first into adventure.

It reminds me a little of Bear Grylls adventure if it was at a water park as from rock climbing to kayaking and more there’s a lot of adrenaline thrill seeker goodness all in one place in Herding Grounds!
Arabian Peak

Arabian Peak is an adults-only exclusive pool where you can find peace, grab a bit to eat and soak up the views of Qiddiya City.
Dhub Grotto

Full of small slides and a play area this little fortress is perfect for children and is located near the pools and cabanas.
Viper Canyon

For thrill-seekers of all ages, this zone is where the fun is as there is something here that will terrify even the bravest water slide junkie!
From a 15m drop on Hyper Viper to the Tahiddi Viper racing slides there’s still something that stands out more than any other ride in this area, Slithereel.
The longest slide wheel in the world this ride looks absolutely bonkers!

Last but not least Aquaticar is a world’s first ride where you can pilot your own car, underwater!
Aquarabia water theme park will use recycled water for the park’s irrigation and cooling, and thanks to specialized filters, will be able to reduce water waste by up to 90% and minimize energy consumption. Moreover, Six Flags Qiddiya City also aims to recycle operational waste targeting more than 80% diversion from landfill.
The unveiling of the Aquarabia water theme park follows the announcement of many exciting entertainment, sports, and cultural attractions in Qiddiya City, including the world’s first multi-use Gaming and Esports District, the multi-sports Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium, the Speed Park track and the Dragon Ball theme park.
