Located next to West Ham Football stadium is the ArcelorMittal Orbit. The tallest structure in the UK standing at 376 feet tall. Near the top of the structure after a rather long lift journey is The Slide. A 40 second descent spanning 584ft of slide reaching speeds of 15mph.

Relax and enjoy stunning views of up to 20 miles across London before plummeting down the slide. Your feet either side of what is essentially a glorified carpet and away you go! Little gaps in the slide allow you to see just how high up you are on your way down. You haven’t really got a second to take it all in thou as you’re absolutely flying down the slide through drops and a tight corkscrew. A must-visit attraction when in London!
The Slide was created by German artist Carsten Höller at the invitation of the ArcelorMittal Orbit’s designer, SirAnish Kapoor, The Slide is a unique collaboration between two of the world’s most renowned contemporary artists. When you exit the slide it takes a while for your legs to regain their balance again, it really is an experience you must do at least once in your lifetime!
