It’s been a while since I had a Mercedes S-Class experience so it was time for a recap. I remember the first time I ever used Blacklane, sitting in the car for the first time in awe of my surroundings and all the cool gadgets and gizmo’s the car had to offer.
During an event I was attending in London I wanted to arrive in style. Look no further than Blacklane. Simply go onto their website type in your pick-up address and your drop-off address and a price will instantly be generated for you.
With a full range of cars to choose from it’s very much like Uber in terms of the flexibility of being able to choose what kind of vehicle you would like. The Executive option is the most premium service Blacklane offer and you’ll almost be guaranteed a Mercedes S Class (or similar) as part of your booking.
Specifically, I asked for the S Class and they were more than happy to accommodate me. The customer service at Blacklane is wonderful, I remember telling them it was my birthday once and they gave me a discount code for my trip. Not many chauffeur companies would EVER do that!
Blacklane made sure I was linked to an S-Class driver and when I exited London’s Euston train station on 30th July there it was with my name sitting in the front window of the car. I was so excited to jump in and start my little adventure around London alongside a good friend of mine.
We jumped inside the car and were greeted with screens on the back of the chair. In a split second, we were tucked in with our complimentary bottles of water, mints and more. Adjusted the headrest, cranked up the heated seats and put the TV on. Instantly I felt comfortable and laid back with a good show on, good company and a really friendly and helpful driver.
Once upon a time, we had a driver who was taking us to Comic Con and we were attending as press. He’d always wanted to meet Pamela Anderson (she was attending the event) and we got to the venue, put him down as one of my +1s and he got into the convention to meet her. I’ll never forget that day and I’m sure he won’t either.
I’ll never forget pulling up to the wrong entrance at the Olympia in London. We had gone to the main entrance and not the press entrance and I had to get out of the car to ask for directions. Stepping out of a posh car with tinted windows and seeing the look on people’s faces as they try to figure out if you’re famous or not is quite frankly hilarious. I loved it!
Our driver was very polite and the smooth transaction from booking the ride to the driver picking me up was faultless. I had booked my car in less than 10 minutes and received my confirmation text the morning of the trip. The text confirmed my driver’s name and phone number.
I still wish they would text me a day or two before my trip date just in case they couldn’t make it. But each and every time I’ve used Blacklane, there has always been a driver waiting at the other end.
Having it so close to the nail is a little too close for comfort for me. I’d like a heads-up at least 12 hours in advance JUST in case.
