If I can’t go to Blackpool Pleasure Beach then the pleasure beach can come to me!
With all the UK theme parks now closed the urge to jump on board a ride or soak in the theme park atmosphere grows with every passing day.
I couldn’t wait any longer so I logged onto the Blackpool Pleasure Beach online shop and ordered a few items.
If I can’t go to the park the park can come to me.
Three days later those items arrived.
What’s In The Box?
So this time around instead of just the one item I took the plunge with five.
Let’s take a look at what I received.
Ghost Train Running Wheel
This genuine running wheel from the Ghost Train at Blackpool Pleasure Beach would have been on both sides of the cars allowing them to follow the track.
Opening in 1930 the Ghost Train was the first Ghost Train in the world.
Big One Lap Bar Holder
My first ride part from The Big One and certainly not the last.
Opened in 1994 at a height of 235 feet The Big One is still the UK’s tallest roller coaster
A lap bar holder does what it says on the tin. It holds the lap bar in. Shocker eh?
Both ride parts came with a certificate of authenticity which is a nice touch.
Roller Coaster Resins
To celebrate some of the most iconic rides at Blackpool Pleasure Beach there are a few resins you can pick up for a bargain price.
When the first batch items arrived the roller coaster parts had bashed some of the resins around a bit but one email later and instantly replacements were dispatched.
I was shocked by how quickly they emailed me back given the current circumstances and without hesitation issued replacements of all three resins with no questions asked.
The customer service is above and beyond and everyone there really treats you like you matter. You’re not just another pound sign, all the staff members really care about the park and the work they do and as far as customer service goes they’re certainly one of the best in the country.
Icon Resin
This lovely ICON roller coaster resin is a lovely little piece indeed.
Small, affordable and eye-catching this little piece stands out with some lovely details based on the entrance of the ride and the iconic train itself on the track.
Whilst the ride train looks absolutely nothing like the actual coaster train (unlike the snowglobe version of this resin) it’s still a great piece of roller coaster merchandise
Revolution Resin
Not as detailed as the Icon resin (it’s a much older resin available in the store) but it’s a lovely little desktop display piece.
The Big One Resin
Containing facts about the ride around the base with the big bold logo in the middle it’ll be the perfect display piece next to my ride part.
I love the color of the model, it really pops in the rare British sunshine.
Overall
Two ride parts and three resins certainly that didn’t break the bank and even more, they included two sticks of Blackpool rock free of charge in the box!
