Both premium and fashion face-masks have today been added to the Blackpool Pleasure Beach online store.
Let’s take a look at both types of mask on offer.
It is worth noting that these masks are currently available for pre-order and will not be dispatched for another 2-3 weeks.
Fashion-Face Mask
These non-medical face masks contain a variety of fun designs for adults and kids of all ages.
These one-size fits all masks contain two layers of 100% soft cotton with a water repellent coating.
Premium Face Masks
Containing a 3 layer mesh this design reduces dust, pollution, pollen and fine particles and is made from 100% polyester with an Anti-bacterial Nano mesh layer.
These premium masks are washable and re-useable.
So What Does This Mean?
All signs are certainly pointing towards theme parks being open around July time.
First, we had the Merlin document released last week showing all the steps the Merlin parks are undertaking to keep the parks safe for the public to visit.
Now Blackpool is releasing their own masks that are shipping in 2-3 weeks.
Conveniently the masks are being delivered just in time for a July start to a season. Very similar to Merlins plans for an estimated reopening as per their documentation.
Everyone seems to be gearing up for a summer restart but with the park selling their own masks it does seem as thou masks and gloves (or just masks exclusively) will be made compulsory when visiting a theme park.
For us, this should include gloves too, especially when gripping onto restraints for sure!
Either way all signs point to parks reopening much sooner than any of us could have imagined.
We certainly look forward to more updates on just how parks are going to implement social distancing effectively.
