Chessington World of Adventures Resort is in the process of opening a brand new indoor water park with a public consultation that took place this week revealing the park’s plans.
Project Waterpark Adventure will be built next to the Safari Hotel and will cost £30 million.
The park is set to open in 2025 and will include a wave pool, infinity pool, some slides inside, a lazy river and animal theming.
This huge expansion will be open all year round and it will be open to day guests and guests staying at on-site hotels.
Chessington had the following to say about the development of the new Chessington indoor water park, quoting excerpt from Theme Park Guide.

“In past years there has also been a real focus on improving the accommodation and getting the site operating as a Resort. The key focus now is to introduce new quality rides and attractions. It will be ‘kickstarted’ by the opening of the new themed land “World of Jumanji” in 2023.”
“The application site comprises part of the ‘22 Acre Field’ and Safari Hotel located within the north west part of the Resort. To the immediate south of the site are the other parts of the Safari and Azteca Hotel, to the east is the north car park and to the west is the Wanyama Reserve and Safari Lodges accommodation site. Further north west of the Safari Hotel is predominantly landscaping. The site is well screened by trees along the boundary to the west and north.”
