Chessington World of Adventures is planning to add two new rides for the upcoming season.
A planning application was submitted today to install Chessington’s new rides at the park. The plans in question detail the addition of two new rides to the Pirate’s Cove area alongside other changes to the land for the year.
The first of Chessington’s new rides will feature water guns with a lighthouse tower operating console this new interactive water ride will certainly be a welcomed addition to the themed Pirate’s Cove area.
The ride is of a similar design to a Zamperla Watermania ride.
Second, on our list is a ride familiar to Thorpe Park fans as it looks as though Timber Tug Boat (removed from Thorpe due to the ongoing Exodus expansion) will be added to the area.
The new attractions hint that more work in the area is set to go underway with the area changing from a Pirate theme to a more naval/nautical theme with numerous land changes as part of theming the area around the new rides and current offerings.
This is great news for Chessington with current projects ongoing such as overnight accommodation and the upcoming Project Amazon which will include the parks first-ever inverting thrill-coaster.
Stay tuned for more details.
