Flamingo Land

The start of the 2020 season should see a brand new coaster installed at Flamingo Land Resort. Drawings for an Intamin 10-inversion coaster have been released along with planning documents. Upon a recent visit to the theme park, construction was underway to build the foundations for the coaster.

Flamingo Land Planning Permission

The ride is expected to be an unused coaster that was originally ordered by Hopi Hari, a theme park in Brazil. The park suffered financial difficulties and as a result, the ride has been in storage since then.

It is unknown if the ride will feature the new lap bar type restraints rather than the over the shoulder restraints as seen on Colossus at Thorpe Park. Lap bars on a coaster like this would make for one intense experience indeed.

Construction at Flamingo Land is set to complete 25 July. An identical ride POV for the ride can be found below:

It’s a welcome addition to Flamingo Land who are quickly becoming a coaster heaven. Kumali and Mumbo Jumbo aside thou the park has very tame rides in comparison to some of their closest rivals. This will be a welcome addition to the park and another big boy ride to add to the collection.
