Drayton Manor Vikings Land Confirmed to Open This Spring

Drayton Manor Vikings Land

Official details have been released from the park of the brand new for 2022 Drayton Manor Vikings land set to open this spring!

So not only were the 2021 Drayton Manor rumours true but our investigation into the potential names of the rides (based off the rumours) was very, very close indeed!

So this Spring fun seekers are set to explore the brand new and beautifully themed Viking themed land as this brand new area marks the second investment in the park in as many years.

Last year saw the addition of Adventure Cove at Drayton Manor as this maritime-themed land was a very colourful and impressive spectacle indeed.

Now we’re getting a Drayton Manor Vikings land, three brand new rides and a re-theme of the park’s iconic Buffalo Coaster.

Take a voyage through Norse history as shields, axes, swords and mythical theming encapsulate the surrounding area.

The park will be welcoming the UK’s first Zampera Nebulaz which consists of eight gondolas and four arms rotating in a fast-intermeshing orbit. The ride will be named Loki after the malevolent god of mischief.

Drayton has also invested in a Disk’O Coaster and when we started this website nearly two years ago it was the first rumour we were ever sent and it’s finally here!

Named Thor the ride will be vibrantly coloured and will see a giant wheel spinning across a coaster track with a hump in the middle.

Younger thrill-seekers looking to brave their first mini coaster will hop onboard the Jormungandr. The family-favourite Buffalo Coaster re-imagined, taking guests onboard an epic voyage through the Vikings with incredible views of the park and its nearby lake.

Also for mini-explorers will be Sleipnir a brand new training school where guests can ride Odin’s mythical horse.

Along with Norse chanting and themed entertainment during peak times this new land looks absolutely phenomenal.

Guests can refuel at the new Walhalla (clearly not ripping anyone off here, it’s spelt different) restaurant where they can surround a sizzling BBQ pit and chow down in true Viking style.

The Drayton Manor hotel will also benefit from 10 brand-new Vikings themed hotel rooms featuring Nordic-inspired furnishings and traditional wooden panelling.

Drayton Manor is growing leaps and bounds and is certainly the park to watch as even next year the biggest investment of The Looping Group takeover to date will be announced and we just know it’s going to be a roller coaster!

What a time to be a UK theme park enthusiast!
