Falcons Flight Qiddiya City: A Pinnacle of Engineering

Falcons Flight Qiddiya City is set to be unveiled in 2025 as the longest, tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world.

Thousands of coaster enthusiasts across the world were adamant this ride would never open and once the track was officially completed back in November they then turned their negative attitude towards saying it wouldn’t operate for long or amass a big enough crowd.

Oh how wrong they’re all going to be.

Falcons Flight is a statement piece of Six Flags Qiddiya City and a feat of engineering not seen before from manufacturers Intamin.

This coaster will be shattering records the second the first train is sent around the track and it won’t be long before that process begins as testing has already began on some portions of the ride ahead of a full 9-month commission of the ride.

Yes, Falcons Flight will undergo a 9-month commission as confirmed in our interview with Park President Brian Machamer only a few weeks ago.

It was also confirmed by Neil Dwyer (see our interview HERE) that the cliff face that the coaster sits atop for its mighty Falcons drop will be assessed frequently and maintenance for this ride will be unlike anything the world has ever seen.

Falcons Flight is one ride that the world is keeping its eyes on as one of the most hyped attractions of 2025. By merely being built it’s already proving doubters wrong as Qiddiya City will create an entire city dedicated to play.

Accommodations, houses, theatres, museums, a stadium, 12 theme parks and an F1 track along with an E-Sports district are all being created as part of this groundbreaking project.

The project aims to bring locals into the new city and then open the kingdom to tourists from across the world as part of the Vision 2030 goals for the Qiddiya City project.

Stretching across 2.5 miles of track the ride will perch guests atop a 640-foot cliff before plunging 519 feet through a tunnel before hitting a giant top hat of mammoth proportions. Falcons Flight will also hit a blistering 155mph.

So much testing and science has gone into the creation of this particular ride from temperature tests, and desert condition tests in addition to maintenance and terrain specialists all working together to bring this thrill-seeking dream to reality.

It’s a symbol of the growing ambition in global theme parks to push the boundaries of what’s possible. It’s a statement that thrills and innovation know no borders, and it places Saudi Arabia squarely on the map as a destination for cutting-edge entertainment.

One thing is certain: Falcons Flight has already achieved legendary status in the minds of coaster fans worldwide. Whether it becomes the ultimate bucket-list ride or a cautionary tale of ambition, we’ll all be watching—and waiting—for the first screams to echo across the cliffs of Qiddiya.

Strap in, thrill-seekers. The future of roller coasters is about to take flight!
