Today the Fantasy Island 2022 map was unveiled showcasing three brand new attractions for the upcoming season.
On the brand new map are two attractions that were originally scheduled to open in 2021 but were delayed due to the pandemic and are now set for a 2022 opening.
The Guardian ride in addition to Harrington Flint’s Island Adventure’s are two rides that are featured inside the pyramid at the park.
The write-up for Harrington Flint’s Island Adventures dark ride is:
An evil awakens… will you be able to stop it?
Explorers, choose your team wisely, the newest adventure at Fantasy Island is fast paced, immersive and highly interactive.
Island Adventures – a brand new attraction with custom made, branded content.
Stay tuned for our opening date.
With the artwork for the ride including laser type guns, we imagine this will be an interactive dark ride with a twist.
The write-up for The Guardian ride is:
Get ready for an EXHILARATING quest!
Be totally immersed in a world where every turn decides your fate…
Our latest attraction will require courageous knights from across the realm to take on the growing darkness.
Will you be able to survive the blazing adventure that awaits…?
The kingdom depends on YOU!
Experience The Guardian, coming to Fantasy Island soon!
Whilst no information has been revealed about the ride we think it’ll be some sort of Robo arm with a VR attachment and special effects included.
The theming for the entrance of the ride is superb so I can’t wait to see this when it’s completed.
Another brand new ride that has been added to the Fantasy Island 2022 map is the Wild River Rapids from Lightwater Valley.
This rapids ride originally opened at Lightwater Valley in 2009 but the ride was removed at the end of the 2020 season as Lightwater Valley got rid of many of its’s rides as it directs itself towards a younger audience.
The ride was returned to its original owner the Mellors family and now finds itself at Fantasy Island.
I certainly have a soft spot for the Skegness theme park and you can check out the brand new 2022 map below.
