Today Used Amusement Rides put Flip Flop at Flamingo Land up for sale on their website.
Flip Flop is a Fabbri Swing Ride located at Flamingo Land in North Yorkshire.
The ride is set over water adding to the experience along with fountains and a bright colour scheme.
As you pass over the giant ships’ and over the wonderful water feature you swing and rotate reaching forces of up to 5g.
With a great maritime theme Flip Flop was always a fun little flat ride that just felt right in the location of the park.
In 2020 the ride was out of action for maintenance and there were murmurs going around that seats had to be removed on the ride just so it would rotate all the way around.
With many operating issues plaguing this once wonderful ride I think it’ll be a ride that many Flamingo Land faithful will sorely miss.
Unlike Pandemonium and Apocalypse at Drayton Manor, which are both up for sale and operating during the 2021 season, Flip Flop will not be operating this season.

Update: May 2022 – After failing to sell the ride Flamingo Land has put work into fixing it and as recently as this week (week beginning 8th May) the ride was seen to be testing after 2 years of being dormant.
All in all this new update renders this entire post useless, you’re welcome.
