Today Alton Towers released some brand new images of the Gangsta Granny ride coming to the park in May but also more images were released from the brand new Gangsta Granny room at the Alton Towers Hotel. Here’s our little Gangsta Granny room tour!
From The World of David Walliams, stay and enjoy a fully immersive Gangsta Granny overnight experience!
Guests will be able to stay in a uniquely themed room, surrounded by the book’s much-loved characters and hidden treasures.
Gangsta Granny: The Ride (and the hotel room) is planned to open on May 17th in line with Government guidelines.

The room is heavy themed and comes with a copy of Gangsta Granny The Book (one per child per stay), a mini-fridge and a TV kids area.
The Gangsta Granny room can sleep up to a family of five with one double bed, one set of bunk beds and a pull-out truckle bed.

From the image above it also looks like the room comes with its very own crown which is very similar to the illusion that Alton Towers have used within Gangsta Granny: The Ride where the crown will be stolen by Granny in a mind-blowing illusion.

The colour scheme of the room is incredibly loud to match the vibrant visuals that paint the story that David Walliams told.
It feels very immersive and certainly feels as though you’ve stepped into the pages of the book with its unique artistry and pencil-drawn type illustrations.

The bathroom does admittedly look a little narrow especially for a room designed to be for 5 people but it’s hard to tell just from this one picture released, there could be a huge bath behind the door on the left for instance which would open the room up a bit.
It’ll be interesting to see what this looks like in person rather than the marketing pictures which always have to be spot on to promote the room.
