Gangsta Granny delayed statement

Based on the children’s book by David Walliams Gangsta Granny the Ride is a 360-degree immersive dark ride from Garmemdale that would have passengers onboard a journey to steal the crown jewels.

Riders would see, smell and even feel various scenes set as this 5-minute ride across 68m of track would transport you alongside Ben and his Grandma on a heist of epic proportions.

Featuring detailed sets and even a very impressive magic trick along the way this family-fun adventure was certainly a highlight for children and adults alike to look forward to.

Garmendale Engineering spoke to Stoke on Trent Live earlier this year about the project:

A hell of a lot of work has gone into making this happen. Thirteen months of hard graft has gone into it, that includes designers, fabricators, welders, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers and programming engineers, it has been a good task.

Families can expect something that is totally unique to ride systems with the special effects and the level of complexity that is involved in this ride. It’s something different and I don’t think they have brought all these elements together before.

This is certainly not the first theme park delay announcement of the year with both Flamingo Land delaying their new coaster and Paultons Park also delaying their Tornado Springs expansion until 2021.
