A white-knuckle ride set to be the first of its kind in the world is set to replace the Mulan, a popular caterpillar coaster at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach. One of the few resorts I have yet to visit in the country! After seeing concepts for this particular ride thou, that may change.
It was announced last week that after 20 years of service the caterpillar ride would be closing for good. Artist impressions have released plans for what the brand new £500,000 ride is going to look like.

The new ride is an airplane-style ride where guests can control their own movements. Similar to the Red Arrows ride at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. You can go upside down, spin around or ride normally should you choose. Many of the theme park guests have complained about the closure of the Mulan. But I’m sure they’ll quickly fall silent when this breathtaking ride is built.
The artist’s impressions for Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach are just a glimpse of what the ride will look like and are in no way a final concept version or an approved design. The ride is still yet to be named and further details will be released in the near future.
