Throughout the summer, the Hong Kong Science Museum holds dedicated children’s programmes which include educational workshops and science-themed arts and crafts.

A 34-metre Tian Tan Buddha is one of the star attractions on Hong Kong’s Lantau Island.

Guests can get up close and personal with ‘Big Buddha’ accessible via the Nong Ping 360 cable car or by climbing 256 steps to the top.

Families can learn about Buddhism history and explore the grounds. Ther are many activities for families too including hiking, beaches and Tai O, a traditional fishing village on the far western side of the island.

West Kowloon Cultural District

Nestled on the Victoria Harbour waterfront, the West Kowloon Cultural District is a vibrant playground for families seeking a fun and enriching day out.

One of the newest exhibitions, ‘I. M. Pei: Life Is Architecture’ which will run until January 2025, is the first full-scale retrospective of Leoh Ming Pei (1917–2019).In addition to its interactive exhibits, M+ has a dedicated Learning Hub which little ones will love, and a rooftop garden with spectacular views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island.
