Hyperia track is now officially completed at Thorpe Park as the final piece of the UK’s tallest and fastest rollercoaster was installed yesterday.
Forgive me if all the details are missing as for some reason only big media sites were sent the press release regarding Hyperia and as we all know, they don’t know a damn thing about rollercoasters (just look at SOT Live confirming Project Horizon was an RMC recently as a prime example).
Scratching my head as to why genuine coaster websites, vloggers and creators weren’t sent any of this info and 6 hours after they were sent it only two websites on the planet have currently reported about it i’ve managed to pop together all the information sent out into one article right here for you to read!

Let’s hope the marketing campaign for the ride moving forward is a little bit more inclusive so it promotes what is set to be the UK’s most exciting record-breaking ride since May 1994 which marked the opening of The Big One at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Hyperia stands 71m tall and consists of 995.4m of track reaching speeds of over 80mph.
Taking 5,292 man hours to build the opening date for the ride has still not been announced, all we know is that Spring is the season it will be launching in.
After months of construction, a 500-tonne crane helped to lift the 92nd and final piece of track into place.
Sending my heart into my throat knowing that I’ll be at the top of that ride on opening day was a scary thought and not only is the height the problem but that first drop looks to be the most insane first drop on any rollercoaster in the country!

Hyperia will feature three inversions including a dive loop, a non-inverted Immelmann and stall loop where riders will be held upside down for an extended period of time.
Hyperia will also feature a splashdown element where riders will descend and glide over the lake below coupled with some water effects.
Neil Poulter, divisional director at Thorpe Park, said:
We’re delighted to be launching the UK’s tallest, fastest and most weightless ride here at Thorpe Park in 2024 and bringing guests a brand-new record-breaking attraction which has been years in the making.
We are excited for Thrill seekers to be able to experience Hyperia which will be an amazing addition to our other record-breaking rides. Thorpe Park is a must-visit for those looking to embark on an exhilarating adventure with friends and family.
