Kimpton Clocktower Hotel Review – A Cosy and Elegant Escape

Kimpton Clocktower Hotel

The days before lockdown, oh how I can’t wait to return. Here’s our Kimpton Clocktower Hotel review.

An unmistakable landmark within the Manchester skyline the Victorian clock tower of the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel stands majestic above the city.

This terracotta Grade II listed building dating back to the 1890’s gives its guests a blast from the past with a slice of luxury to boot.

A quick 10-minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station the hotel is perfectly situated to a whole host of bars, clubs and shops.

After winding through the halls guarded with stone archways, the lobby (see picture above) has more character than any hotel reception i’ve seen for many years.

Absolutely breathtaking.

Give me a mattress and a blanket and I’d have just stayed in there for a night.

Our Room at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel

Kimpton Clocktower Hotel Rooms

Upon entering our room it was clear to see we wouldn’t be short of space.

You could have easily fitted another three double beds in our room.

There was enough walking space to practise any complicated gymnastics routine.

The ceilings were so high that we could also have our very own climbing wall installed!

Kimpton Clocktower Hotel Snacks

On the desk lay a tuck box filled with free goodies including crisps, chocolate, candy and more.

A nice little touch in addition to some free waters in the mini-bar.

Myself and my girlfriend were in Manchester to check out the Christmas market so we didn’t spend a great deal of time in the room but the snacks were quickly consumed nonetheless.

Kimpton Clocktower Hotel Bathroom

Elemis toiletries littered the white tiled bathroom.

My girlfriend is obsessed with Elemis products so they were used up in no time and I must admit they smelled incredible.

Whilst the bathroom wasn’t all that impressive as a whole the space of the room more than made up for it’s rather cramped wash space.

There is a positive in here somewhere thou. Just look at that rain shower!

Our room was just one of many varieties at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel.

I would happily return in a heartbeat.

Kimpton Clocktower Hotel Decor

We were booked into one of the most basic rooms of the establishment and it still had an elegant charm far exceeding the price we paid for a nights stay.

It would be great to revisit and take a look at some of their breathtaking suites.

The Kimpton Clocktower Hotel really sweeps you back in time.

The hotel provides an elegant yet cosy experience that you’d be crazy not to love.
