Large Fire Reported At Drayton Manor Theme Park This Evening

Breaking News this evening as a fire at Drayton Manor has broken out with numerous fire crews on the scene.

Tamworth Informed have released news that fire crews from Tamworth, Tamworth Mercia, Chase Terrace, Burton on Trent, Cannock and Barton Under Needwood are currently on the scene taking the blaze as we speak.

The fire is rumoured to have started within a toilet block within Thomas Land.

We hope that everyone is safe and we’ll report more news on this as and when it becomes available.

Local residents are being advised to keep windows and doors shut.

Drayton Manor posted on social media that fire crews are still at the park and they have been advised that the situation is under control.

No one has been injured and all of the park animals are safe.

It is not currently safe to them to surgery the damage but are urging all residents to keep doors and windows closed.

Drayton later posted the following on social media along with photos of the damage.

Following last night’s incident at the park, we can confirm that the fire is out and the area is cordoned off.

We are very grateful to Staffordshire Fire and Rescue for all their support over the last few hours and are pleased to report that no one was injured by the fire, and all of the park’s animals are safe.

We have now been able to survey the park and are relieved to confirm that the damage has been limited to a toilet block and store cupboard, both within Thomas Land. All of the rides remain intact with very limited damage.

The fire service will now carry out an investigation into the cause of the incident.
