A brand new Legoland Windsor Adventure Golf course attraction is set to be built under new plans from the park.
The new golf course would be completed by Spring next year and will include three golf courses with various Lego themes if the plans are approved.
Plans have been submitted to the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead council in regards to an indoor attraction for guests visiting the resort and those staying overnight.
The main reason that these plans are going ahead is due to the increasing threat of The London Resort being built in the local area.
Legoland Windsor feel they need to “up their game” if they are to compete with this new evolving project and other theme parks (Chessington / Thorpe Park) will be feeling the same way.
The London Resort (if it goes ahead) will be the UK’s biggest theme park and looks to be one of the most impressive and exciting theme park projects we’ve ever seen here on Lift Hills and Thrills.
I feel the competition is perfect for southern attractions that have been quite lazy in terms of improving and expanding with Thorpe Park not having a brand new coaster for close to a decade and with a flying theatre and a family drop tower being the only real investments of notes in both Legoland and Chessington respectively.
The Legoland Windsor Adventure Golf course will be erected on one of the car parks to the west of Legoland but nothing has been confirmed yet.

David Pugh, consultation advisor to Legoland Windsor Resort, said:
“This is about attracting more people to the local area with a diversified offer [as] part of the wider holidays package.”
A rollercoaster plan will also be in the works as the theme park looks to be refreshed.
Accommodation lodges are also looking to arrive at the park in 2024 as 150 lego themed buildings will be erected on site as part of delayed plans from 2018.
David Pugh said the following about the accommodation:
There’s been a lack of family-friendly accommodation that’s been identified in past visitor surveys and part of the holiday village is about providing that accommodation at a lower price point.
Not just for guests who would be coming to Legoland as part of that, but those families who can visit other attractions in the local area.
