Today, the leaders of six local authorities; Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire, Luton Borough, Milton Keynes City, North Northamptonshire, and West Northamptonshire, have sent a letter to the Prime Minister to express their combined support for Universal Destinations & Experiences’ potential theme park project in Bedford.
This is wonderful news for the upcoming project and the document in question has now been uploaded to the Universal UK Project website and you can find that HERE.
Despite this, and recent news of Universal purchasing properties in the local area they’re still sticking with the ‘a decision has still not been made’ line but it all seems too coincidental. I think their mind is all but made up they’re just waiting to dot the i’s and cross the T’s before this project gets greenlit.
Having local support is a resounding endorsement for this very exciting project, coupled with the engagement from the local communities themselves in addition to the wider public the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
I don’t think it’s a matter of IF this Universal UK project gets greenlit, it’s now a matter of when.
