Mahuka at Walibi Rhone-Alpes will mark the 45th anniversary of the park as Europe’s first Hot Racer roller coaster from Intamin in the region.
This single rail coaster design will join one of three thematic universes at the park, Exotic Island.
The island will invite visitors to step into the shoes of archaeologists who are discovering an abandoned temple on an island in the South Pacific.
Mahuka marks the first new attraction as part of a wider investment in the park that was introduced in 2015 with a scope to theme and modernise the entire Walibi Rhone Alpes theme park.

Nearly 50 million euros will be spent over 10 years by adding attractions, and restaurants and creating these three immersive thematic universes.
This new exotic island will consist of the ride, scenography, and greening of the space along with the creation of a new restaurant named Tiki Fruits will be the cherry on the cake.
Mahuka means ‘escape’ in Hawaiian as guests explore temple remains erected in the honour of the God of Fire but be careful not to provoke the sacred fire of the god or risk being a prisoner of the temple, forever.
Once you take a seat on the ride, there will be no more escape!

The coaster (designed by Intamin) has a unique layout specially designed for Walibi Rhone-Alpes and is for the most daring.
Featuring two powered launches the trains will reach a maximum speed of 67 km/h providing no less than 13 moments of airtime (weightlessness).
Guests will take a seat on individual seats and will be able to enjoy an experience without anyone sitting next to you so you get a full view of their surroundings.
