Mundo Amazonia at Bellewaerde in Belgium is opening March 30th as guests will be able to explore this brand-new land for the first ever time.
Inside this brand new area you will discover three new attractions including a world’s first rapids ride named Amazonia.
The area will feature a new catering point, restroom facilities and a souvenir shop and will consist of newly planned natural scenery.
Visitors will enjoy a South American and Brazilian atmosphere surrounded by beautiful trees and exotic shrubs and plants.
A total of 80 large indigenous trees with heights of 10 to 18 metres will be planted, along with 70 exotic trees ranging from 5 to 10 metres, 30 exotic shrubs of 3 metres, and around 600 smaller shrubs.
Amazonia
This world’s first unique ride will take guests through an exotic queueline before the boarding station which is located in an abandoned mining building where emeralds were once mined.
8 visitors per boat will board the ride starting with a sloping lift that takes guests to a height of 18 metres before gliding down a water slide into the first water basin.
A rotating vertical lift will take guests even higher to 19 metres leading to a gigantic halfpipe before the ride concludes with a free fall into the mine shaft.

Amazonia is unique worldwide and can only be found at Bellewaerde.
Rio Do Cacao
This mini log flume is a much more friendly experience as this ride allows children to experience the first sensations of a water ride.
Brazilian Buggies
A brand new kids coaster promises the first rollercoaster experience for little ones and is a subtle wink and nod to the Beetle Coaster of the past.
Rio Do Cafe
The River Splash is also part of the new area, undergoing a thorough upgrade and transforming into Rio Do Cafe.
Samba Souvenirs
In the new souvenir shop, Samba Souvenirs, you’ll find the coolest gifts for young and old, including emeralds and other gemstones.
Tropical Takeaway
Tropical Takeaway helps satisfy your hunger with a completely new catering point and a beautiful terrace where you can taste the exotic atmosphere in delicious empanadas, crispy nachos, and delightful tacos.
