A Blackpool Pleasure Beach Ghost Train 3D model has arrived at the UK theme park with quite the price tag!
The Blackpool Pleasure Beach Ghost Train is the world’s first Ghost Train.
The first ride of its kind in the world to be coined ‘Ghost Train’. The ride opened in 1930 as a single-deck ‘Pretzel’ ride but was rebuilt and designed as an Art Deco double deck in 1936 by Joseph Emberton.
The ride has undergone many refurbishments over the years including one in 1936 and a more notable one in 1957 where it was slightly moved up from its original location to accommodate the Pleasure Beach Wild Mouse ride.
This brand new 3D model is of the popular purple coloured ghost train and certainly looks the part.

Much smaller than that of the ICON and Infusion models which were very big indeed the price tag has stayed around the same with these models going for £80.
A little confused by the hefty price tag considering the Wild Mouse models which were the same size cost around £30.
There’s no denying how cool they look but usually models absolutely fly off the shelves and the Pleasure Beach online store and these ones aren’t exactly flying.
With 70 still in stock online and many in the Kiss Me Quick shop, this is certainly a 3D model for the die-hard fans of this wonderful ride.
I’m still debating whether to get one or not as season pass holders do get 10% off merchandise but even then £72 still seems a little steep for me.
One of my Ghost Train wheels from the actual ride cost much less than that so I’m still scratching my head (like many other enthusiasts) as to why the price is so steep for this one.
In the meanwhile, we headed to Pleasure Beach recently and jumped on the Ghost Train. Check out the 2022 POV below:
Update: Less than 24 hours after posting this article Blackpool Pleasure Beach has discounted its model from £80 to £40.
