Located in Qiddiya City the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium for sports, entertainment and culture has been unveiled for the first time along with information regarding the stadium’s unique features.
Located atop a 200-metre-high cliff this multi-use venue will host some of the kingdom’s biggest sports and entertainment events.
Consisting of 45,000 seats the design is set to revolutionise the traditional stadium experience with its immersive and unique technological features.
The stadium will include a retractable roof, pitch and LED wall which allows the space to transform into different event models in just a few hours.
When the LED wall isn’t being used it will open to reveal views of Qiddiya City and all of the exciting projects that are being constructed as part of this billion-dollar project.
The climate-controlled venue leverages an energy efficient cooling system, with advanced recycling technology to produce cold air while also meeting LEED Gold standards for sustainable design.
Guests will be able to enjoy multiple spectacles in a single day, including football, boxing, esports, concerts, and theatre performances. The stadium will employ cutting-edge technology to provide fans with instant access to live data and information including the use of state-of-the-art holographic technology, enabling virtual interactions with celebrities and stars.
There are many ways to get to the stadium including a park and ride / drop off zones and is in direct proximity to 50,000 square metres of shopping, dining, hotels and entertainment spaces.

Once open the stadium will serve as the future home ground to Saudi Pro League football clubs Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal.
The stadium is due to be proposed as a venue for the Kingdom’s 2034 FIFA World Cup bid and hopes to be open before 2030.
Hopefully, Ronaldo won’t retire by the time the stadium is open as I’m sure he’d love to play here!
As a central venue in an urban entertainment district, this uniquely versatile space promises an extended play experience with direct and convenient access to Qiddiya City’s vibrant Gaming & Esports District as well as other city entertainment options.
Qiddiya is such an exciting development in the kingdom and we cannot wait for the first phase to open later in the year as Six Flags Qiddiya will mark the first entertainment venue open as part of this incredible tourist destination.
