Taking the place of Mixtape is the brand new Spinjam Alton Towers ride! A brand new addition to the Alton Towers RetroSquad line-up.
Spinjam was revealed today as a Tivoli Extreme spinning ride that is now located in X-Sector where Mixtape resided for the 2021 season.
Tivoli Extreme rides have a very insane looking design and have varying ride patterns.
It’s a very intense and thrilling ride but with it being located at Alton Towers you can almost be certain that settings will be much tamer than they would normally be on a funfair circuit.
Mixtape was a fond favourite amongst many Alton Towers guests last year and it’s sad to see it go but the Extreme will be a wonderful addition to an area already packed full of insane thrill rides including Oblivion, Enterprise and The Smiler.
The Smiler has been out of action since September 2021 and opened today for the first time on the official opening day of the 2022 season.
Spinjam Alton Towers was listed on the line-up of rides in the incredible RetroSquad trailer released by the park last year and others will notice how many more rides are listed on the control panel in the trailer.
This could hint at even more funfair rides coming to the park in the coming seasons as they certainly helped to spread guests out during peak times and further proved why permanent flat rides would be a wonderful investment for the park.
