Buckle up for this Infusion at Blackpool Pleasure Beach POV as the park releases another weekend isolation activity.
Taken by the lovely bunch of guys over at Pleasure Beach Experience this chest-mounted Go-Pro footage really pops in the beautiful Blackpool sunshine.
A stunning piece of footage that thanks to the cameras image stabilisation makes Infusion look a very smooth coaster indeed.
It’s really not.
Infusion at Blackpool Pleasure beach is a Vekoma Suspended Looping Coaster that shakes you around as thou you’re inside a washing machine.
It’s a rough ride like many of the UK’s Vekoma SLC coasters. Infusion is certainly one of the roughest in the country.
Odyssey at Fantasy Island (Another Vekoma SLC) in Skegness just picked it to the post in our top UK roughest coasters list.
Infusion used to be located at Pleasureland Southport where it was originally called Traumatizer. The entire ride is built over water and has various water effects including fountains dotted around the layout.
The ride has 2 trains each with 8 cars containing 2 seats. The overhead shoulder restraints comes over you and you begin your ascend up the the 108ft lift hill.
With your feet dangling in the wind the uneasy feeling of having absolutely nothing under your legs is a daunting one indeed.
Suspended coasters are the only coasters left on the planet that fill me with dread, the higher they are the worse the feeling gets for me.
Not having your feet planted on something solid is a horrible feeling indeed.
The restraints on Infusion are very comfy indeed. This comfort is much needed once the rolls and loops batter you around in your seat with ferocious velocity.
For any coaster enthusiast out there who says this is a smooth ride DO NOT BELIEVE THEM.
The whole coaster and the scenery around the ride is beautiful. The water features and the overall look of the rollercoaster make Infusion one of the most photogenic rides in the park.
