Tayto Park Approved For Two Brand New Rollercoasters

Tayto Park 2023 New Rollercoasters

FINALLY, permission has been granted for two new Vekoma coasters to be built at the Ireland based theme park, Tayto Park APPROVED!

A board has granted permission for the €15.5million Vekoma to be added to the park.

This suspended thrill coaster was the issue of much debate with the other planned coaster (a Vekoma boomerang) not garnering much debate.

31 metres high and 748 metres long this suspended coaster would sit alongside a 24.2 metre high 238 metre Family Boomerang ride.

Both coasters would be very similar to the suspended Vekoma coaster Hals-über-Kopf and the Family Boomerang Volldampf located at Tripsdill theme park in Germany.

The final approval decision brings a two year, four-month planning battle to an end.

A previous coaster was refused permission back in 2019 because the noise impact of people’s screams would bother local residents’ properties.

That same board has overruled its own inspector who claimed the coaster would reduce the value of properties in the area.

Construction is set to begin this year with both coasters opening in 2023 with around 40 new jobs expected to be created!

So Tayto Park is officially getting two brand new coasters, I certainly will start planning a trip to Ireland in 2023 that’s for sure so stay tuned for that one!
