There are so many rides on offer at Winter Wonderland Hyde Park that it’s hard to pick favourites. Over 100 rides to be exact!
It was hard to cram our favorites down in this list but I think we’ve done it! Here are some rides at Winter Wonderland we feel you MUST do every time you visit if they are at the park!
Not all rides return year after year to Hyde Park Winter Wonderland so we’ve compiled some of our favourites over the years for you to look out for during your visit!
Winter Wonderland Hyde Park Best Rides
This selection of rides may be bias in its approach. I’m a coaster nut with a soft spot for Ghost Trains.
Your opinions may differ completely. If there is a particular ride you absolutely loved don’t hesitate to comment below with your choices!
Dr. Archibald Master of Time

This german manufactured VR masterpiece is nothing short of breathtaking.
Visually stunning from its exterior and incredibly immersive within I couldn’t quite believe this was a travelling ride.
The queue line is something you’d see at a theme park with a library entrance and an insane level of detail.
You take a seat on your beautifully designed cart and are fully immersed in a world of dinosaurs, futuristic cities, and mushroom forests.
One of the best VR rides I’ve had the pleasure of riding and a must-visit when attending Winter Wonderland.
Munich Looping Coaster
This travelling coaster contains 5 loops of smooth insanity.
With nothing but a lap bar and a hovering shoulder restraint, you are sent up the lift hill and drop until a world of mayhem.
The steepness of the loops is insane and you certainly feel every G-force your body can take.
It’s been many years since I’ve come off a rollercoaster somewhat dizzy (in a good way).
The ride was worth every penny of the somewhat steep £9 ticket price. But it certainly is the best coaster in the park by quite some distance!
Wild Maus XXL

Whilst the ride itself is a very tame but jolty one indeed it’s the queue line that wins this ride a slot in our top choices.
As you walk down the queue line you are met with various obstacles such as moving floors, stepping stones across a small water pond and rotating discs.
This made the already small queue move even faster and it was something to keep us entertained before riding. Whilst the ride isn’t great it does last a while so you feel you get your money’s worth.
There is also an option for a VR upgrade to your ride but sadly we didn’t try this one out.
Snow Jet
This matterhorn ride starts off all slow and steady but then evolves into the quickest ride at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland reaching insane speeds as the world becomes a blur and all that remains is the flickering bulbs on the back of the cart infront of you.
Madness personified in this ride experience that is absolutely not for the feint hearted!
Daemonium
The largest travelling ghost train in the world Daemonium is a multi-level experience packed full of old school animatronics.
The carts work much like Disney’s Haunted Mansion carts where the carts rotate to face what you’re looking at.
This is perfect for the lift hill section that begins the ride allowing you to look at all the grisly features the ride contains.
Haunted Mansion
Speaking of ghost trains The Haunted Mansion was a great little ride.
A suspended Ghost Train taking you on a tour of the mansion and for me, it was certainly the more detailed of the two rides.
It felt more immersive and included live actors. I know Daemonium contained one live actor on our run-through but this one seemed full of them! I think Daemonium wins the exterior battle by a country mile but the interior title goes to The Haunted Mansion.
Hangover the Tower
Standing 85m tall riders are subjected to an 80m free-fall drop of epic proportions.
The harnesses are incredibly free-reign and this becomes apparent when you’re 80m up in the air only being held there by a waist restraint.
The freedom of movement makes this ride all the scarier and the drop is as intense as they come. The ride operator certainly makes the ride even more special with customized music and commentary on your upcoming imminent freefall.
Check out a video of some of the best rides (in my opinion) to grace Hyde Park Winter Wonderland over the years!
