Brand new first-look images have dropped for The London Resort. A brand new £3.5 billion theme park being built near Dartford.
The park is set to start construction in 2021 with a 2024 opening date replanned. The new theme park has links to BBC, ITV and Paramount Pictures. The park will span 535 acres and today we get a sneak peek at some of the concepts.
The park will eventually become a two-park resort with the first park opening in 2024 and the next in 2029. From the images, it certainly looks as thou every ride in the park will be indoors and undercover. Via a grand plaza visitors will walk through a high-street containing shops, hotels, restaurants, a waterpark, and a convention center. Just like Universal Studios, the park will contain a warehouse district showing big blockbusters.
Another section will be named The Woods, an enchanted realm blurring the lines between fantasy and reality. Up next is The Kingdom, a realm of swords, sorcery, dragons and more. This is England is a dark and ancient land and The Isles will contain mythical beasts and giant creatures. Bosses promise ‘jaw-dropping architecture’. The Jungle section will provide the jaw-drop factor as artifacts and more will be built in a fully immersive environment. Finally, The Starport will be the 23rd-century thrust into the future with big thrill rides and futuristic encounters.
As it stands The London Resort almost sounds too good to be true. My god, I hope this all comes to fruition!
