The Ultimate Removed from Lightwater Valley Official Website

The Ultimate Removed

The Ultimate removed from Lightwater Valley website as the park have confirmed the rollercoaster will remain non-operational during the 2022 season.

With theme park fans questioning whether this legendary UK coaster will be opening for 2022 Lightwater Valley were quick to shut down queries.

Lightwater Valley took to social media to respond to all questions regarding The Ultimate and told fans that the ride will not be operating in 2022.

In 2019 the ride was closed as the park as the Brighton Pier Group took over the North Yorkshire park and put almost all of the parks thrill rides up for sale with such classics as Raptor Attack and Black Pearl leaving the park immediately.

This new family-friendly direction didn’t go down well with the Lightwater Valley faithful and the decision to shut down The Ultimate was a questionable one indeed considering it’s the main draw for the park as one of the UK’s Top 10 tallest coasters (33m)  not to mention the UK’s longest coaster.

The chief executive of the Brighton Pier Group said The Ultimate would be assessed for viability of operation or modification but a year later nothing has been done and no decision has been made.

This relies in the safety of the ride as it’s getting on a bit and was a very bumpy if albeit memorable ride.

Whilst there was a glimmer of hope for the rides return this year the comments on social media have all but shut that down.

If that wasn’t bad enough The Ultimate has been removed entirely from the Lightwater Valley official website for the first time.

The future isn’t looking too good for this UK classic.
