Thirteen at Alton Towers finally reopens with some strange new passengers.
If you go down to the woods today, you aren’t getting a back seat.
Alton Towers have reopened this family thrill ride today with water weights on the backseat to comply with health and safety.
Thirteen needs a certain amount of weight on the train to run within the operational guidelines so if you’re heading down to Alton Towers in the forseeable you’re going to see some unusual passengers.
Alton Towers have definitely dropped the ball here though as the water bottles could have been kitted out with cloaked hoods to really give the ride that forboding charm but nope, just your generic water weights for now taking up the back seat.
Both Rita and Thirteen have now officially reopened after Dark Forest was closed entirely during the first weeks of the parks reopening.
The rumours still flicker in regards to a Dark Forest scare zone addition for this years Scarefest as the real reason the entire area was closed.
Closing off such a large area just because of two rides not being available doesn’t seem to sit with me.
Whatever is being planned I hope we find out sooner rather than later.
I’m a huge fan of Scarefest and knowing that it’s going ahead in some capacity this year was wonderful news, as auditions for cast members are soon to be taking place.
