Tornado Springs at Paultons Park Delayed Until 2021

Paultons Park Tornado Springs Delayed

Due to open this May Tornado Springs at Paultons Park has been delayed due to the COVID-19 lockdown.

The 1950’s inspired Americana expansion to Paultons Park featuring a midwestern styling with restaurants and brand new rides including Zamperla’s Cyclonator and the main attraction, A MACK Rides spinner named Storm Chaser.

Bosses at Paultons Park said there were far too many challenges to complete the build in the face of the lockdown.

Managing Director Richard Mancey said delaying Tornado Springs until Easter 2021 was a “difficult decision.”

We know how disappointing this postponement will be, to both our guests and our staff. After eighteen months of hard work it is very hard to accept that the attraction will not open this year. Particularly when it is so close to completion. However, with no work taking place on site at present and with no clear idea of when the specialist contractors from several European countries will be able to recommence work, we felt that this was our only option.

Everyone who has been involved in bringing Tornado Springs to life has poured their heart and soul into creating a truly spectacular experience, so rest assured it will be worth the wait.

Tornado Springs will be the parks fifth themed land. Storm Chaser would have been the UK’s first free-spinning rollercoaster from MACK Rides.

It is unclear how long this lockdown will last. Regardless even once the restrictions have lifted social distancing measures are set to be in place far longer than 2020.

The hospitality sector will be the most affected by COVID-19.

They will certainly be the last sector on the list to have restrictions lifted.

Our heart goes out to Paultons Park, we hope to see you back soon!
