Tornado Springs at Paultons Park set to open April 12th park today confirms.
Following a £12 million investment the new area will open with eight new rides and experiences.
Covering four acres, Tornado Springs will be the biggest new area opening at a UK theme park in 2021 and will see the UK’s first free-spinning rollercoaster of its type being added to the coaster line-up.
James Mancey, Operations Director at Paultons Park said:

The opening of our new attraction, imagined entirely by our team, is a landmark moment in the evolution of Paultons Park. I have no doubt that Tornado Springs will be the most popular and in-demand attraction at Paultons this year as parents look for exciting new adventures to share with their children.”
Resembling a desert resort town set in the America heyday of the 1950’s Tornado Springs has been developed exclusively by Paultons Park and is set to appeal to all ages.
The new rides will include Storm Chaser, a Mack free-spinning ride taking riders 20m high and swivelling through twists and turns at speed.
Up next is The Cyclonator, a Gyro-Swing spinning pendulum ride carrying 30 people at a time and rising to around 25 metres. The ride is themed as a wind-powered invention by the townspeople of Tornado Springs.
The new area will also feature Al’s Auto Academy which is a driving school ride with 30 electric cars for younger visitors and accompanying adults as they take some classic cars for a spin.
Other additions include twin family drop towers, a Buffalo Falls water raft ride and Trekking Tractors.
There will also be a memorabilia shop by the name of Al’s Shop and Service and the Route 83 diner, a 50’s themed family restaurant offering all sorts of American goodies.
