Velocity, the Vekoma launch coaster at Flamingo Land has had a paint job for the 2020 season.
With its former blue and red paint looking a little tired and worn during the 2019 season the ride has undergone a complete recolouring to fit nicely next to the brand new 10-looping coaster due to open in 2021.
Long gone are the blue and red days of Velocity as the ride is now showing a wonderful new red and yellow combination that really makes it pop.
The ride trains have also undergone a transformation with the bikes looking brand new with a lick of paint.
When I first went on Velocity last year the Bikes were absolutely battered with pieces missing from the padding and the little windshields were absolutely filthy.
I rather like this new paint job but it’s definitely a slow news day today if i’m covering this in the first place.
It’s a shame Flamingo Land don’t have a press department to include influencers / media in all of the parks goings on.
A decision taken by the park many moons ago but one that still puzzles me to this day being a much smaller park where the extra promotion is more beneficial.
I’m sure people will flock to the park the second the new coaster opens and I hope they do as numbers reported from numerous sources stated that only around 250 people were on park.
That’s quite concerning to say the least.
