Voltron opening at Europa Park in March 2024 with the 23rd of March being tipped as the ride’s official opening date to the public but we have a sneaky feeling it’ll be a bit later than that.
The brand new Mack Rides coaster will be open in time for the start of the season and will mark the world’s first ride with a looping launch.
Themed around the story of electrical engineer and inventor Nikola Tesla the ride will be placed into a brand new Croatian-themed area at Europa Park.
Opening of the ride was initially planned for the second half of 2023 but with some delivery issues the rides opening was delayed until 2024.
Voltron will be the 14th roller coaster at the German theme park with a distance of around 1400 metres and a height of 32 metres.

The ride trains will consist of individual cars with upholstered theming on the seats giving a very classy tone to proceedings.
There are two outer seats which extend beyond the rails on which the train runs meaning they will be for the bravest of guests riding.
Voltron will have a 25-metre-high centrepiece tower with a dome that is being built reminiscent of the Wardenclyffe Tower which Tesla built on Long Island in 1901.
The theory of the ride relates to the theory that people can be transported using cosmic energy, this loose theory is the basis of the ride.
With a few more surprises up its sleeve, Voltron is certainly one coaster that enthusiasts the world over have their eyes on in 2024.
It’s going to be a very exciting year indeed as Voltron opening at Europa Park is certainly one ride on my hit list for the new year!
Germany press stated that March was the tipped opening date for Voltron but with how things are looking the area feels like it’ll take much longer than the coaster to complete so our bet is firmly on a late April opening date!
