Hopefully, you’re here on this page reading these very words and haven’t died of shock when gazing upon the price tag of this 2021 Wicker Man statue.
No, it wasn’t a typo and yes this is the second Wicker Man hand-crafted statue that is now on display within the Wicker Man shop as guests exit the ride.
The first one sold for, you guessed it, £3500.
Naturally, if I was the creator of the statue I’d have been straight into the workshop working on the next one and it seems as though original artist Emma Stothard had the same idea!
This different one-of-a-kind statue (to keep its exclusivity) stands at nearly 4 feet tall and features the double-sided head of the Wicker Man & Ram.
Alton Towers have added this latest creation to their speciality section of the website that was officially opened with the release of the Rita Launch Cable ride part display that sold out within 12 hours!
The item doesn’t come with the display cabinet it is housed in and the owner will receive the statue only and not any lighting or surrounding artefacts used for display purposes.
Cheekily enough, postage is NOT included as the owner will need to arrange shipping or can come to the park and pick it up themselves.
You may laugh to yourselves but the Merlin Annual Pass Discount is applicable on this item and it’ll save you a whopping £750 off the asking price!
I’m ever so curious as to who picked up the first statue and where it is currently displayed as we speak.
These kinds of items would look great in a roller coaster museum or heritage museum or anything even remotely linked to Staffordshire or UK theme parks.
