It’s the commentators curse, or more so, the bloggers curse as mere days after slating how awful the Thorpe Park online shop website looked they’ve only gone and launched a new Thorpe Park 2021 shop and it’s had a bit of a makeover!
Sporting a very snazzy and snappy design this visually improved online store certainly looks the part, dare I say it’s the best looking Merlin store site i’ve seen!
With vibrant image, easy navigation and separate menus we’re now starting to look the part.
Rather than the previous site where everything was cobbled together we now have individual menus and categories for each individual merch line.
In addition to that we have some wonderful new images showing off the merchandise.
What the store does lack though however, is new merchandise.
With the season being mere weeks away (if the current ongoing crisis didn’t exist) you can only image the store will be updated with fresh new 2021 merchandise in due course.
The site has launched with a small new product though however and that is a rare pin-badge and a 2020 map.
A strange decision to go with a 2020 map rather than a 2021 map but never mind.
Limited to 450 pins this £5 package comes with a 2020 park map, no doubt because of a certain auction site where a 2020 Thorpe Park map was ramped up to an eye-watering 4 figure sum even if it was people messing about inflating the price.
For each bundle sold 0.50p will be donated to Merlin’s Magic Wand, a charity for children with severe illness and disabilities.
As always the postage is a little steep for such a small item that would cost no more than £1 to ship but if you’re a Merlin Pass holder you can knock 20% off that final total regardless.
So it’s definitely a great looking new site for Thorpe Park’s online store for the year but it just needs way better merchandise to go inside it.
It was only a few weeks ago when they launched their warehouse clearance page and the items in the warehouse were ten times better than anything we’d seen in the online store since it was created!
Definitely looking forward to resins and more unique items and especially Saw the Ride goodies!
