NEW Valhalla Shop Coming to Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Valhalla Shop Pleasure Beach

Blackpool Pleasure Beach will be setting up a brand new shop especially for Valhalla merchandise as the park prepares for the rides reopening.

Set for a summer 2022 opening Valhalla has left a huge hole in our lives after its closure over the last two years as part of a renovation/reimagining.

The recipient of The World’s Best Water Ride at the Golden Ticket Awards in 2021 despite the ride being closed all season is getting ready to welcome us back very soon and it looks as though we’re getting a new shop too!

BPB Map Shop

On the brand new Blackpool Pleasure Beach 2022 map, you can see that a Valhalla shop is listed but its positioning is different.

When Valhalla was open previously the shop was further down on the map and was situated very close to the entrance of the ride but now the shop has been moved next to Loki’s Apres Ski bar which is a much bigger space than that of the previous store (more like a stall).

The Plaice Viking themed fish and chip shop at Pleasure Beach has also recently had its sign removed and is quite a large space to have a Valhalla themed shop added so whilst it hasn’t been confirmed I’d certainly think that was the location of the new outlet.

This brand new location gets me excited about what we could potentially see from the upcoming merchandise range for the ride.

The Valhalla reimagining will be much darker in tone than the previous version with a story being told throughout and music that is themed around particular rooms/experiences that you’ll be sailing through on your Viking boat.

Merchandise has always been Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s strong point but with a whole shop dedicated to one ride, it makes me think that the ambitious plans for this ride will further continue into the range of merchandise offered.

Whilst we all expect the standard hoodies, key rings, mugs and the typical merchandise I have a feeling that Valhalla will take the offering up a notch especially given the status of the ride on a global scale.

I’d love nothing more than wooden themed Viking crates filled with loot or really unique wooden / Viking pieces along with Viking memorabilia such as Viking helmets, more ride parts sold along with old theming pieces that have been taken out from the old version of the ride.

Small pieces of a Viking boat in a Valhalla themed display sold in a limited collectors box display or a framed display.

The possibilities really are endless to create unique and truly wonderful merchandise for this amazing ride.

It won’t be too long to wait and find out when this ride reopens this summer and I’ll be first in line to experience it and to scoop up as much merchandise as I possibly can!

Update November 2022 – With the delay of the ride now going in 2023 the store location has also been changed to the Kiss Me Quick Shop with all contents currently in there being moved to a new location inside the Ticket Centre with a new Kiss Me Quick shop located inside.
