Drayton Manor New Logo Revealed as Park Heads in New Direction

Drayton Manor New Logo

In a very bold move by the Tamworth based theme park a new brand identity is born as the Drayton Manor new logo is revealed.

Stepping away from the iconic logo of old that has withstood the test of time and includes the park’s infamous stand-up rollercoaster Shockwave a new simplified logo was revealed.

This new logo embodies the new family-friendly direction the park is heading in with brand new immersive themed areas being a key focus for the park.

Last year saw the introduction of Adventure Cove, a beautiful themed seaside themed area and with a Vikings themed area looking to open any week now, the focus is clear.

Fun themed areas for all the family.

Immersing each and everyone into the worlds that Drayton has created seems to be a driving factor for The Looping Group (owners of Drayton Manor) moving forward.

Drayton Manor Logo 2022

Investment in the park is certainly positive and with rumours of a roller coaster on the way in 2024, it’s such an exciting time for the park.

With new Managing Director, Victoria Lynn, at the helm, the future looks brighter but this new logo hasn’t arrived without controversy.

With such a bold move to completely rebrand a park as iconic as Drayton Manor, the new logo has drawn some criticism.

Many feels the logo is ‘too simple’ or ‘doesn’t reflect the theme park’ and many people were quick to jump on social media to voice their thoughts.

For me the brand new logo does demonstrate the fun and quirky vibe that the park has in spades but even I’m failing to see how this particular logo is being used to show a theme park.

There’s not even a hint of theme park ride, essence or anything. The logo feels very flat and could easily be used for a play area, children’s product or shop and certainly not for a theme park.

It’ll certainly be a difficult logo to get used to but it outlines what Drayton Manor is aiming for in the years to come.

Long gone are the days when attractions with such high thrill levels as Apocalypse and Shockwave will be coming to the park. The logo clearly shows a more family-friendly route so expect family-thrill rides at the most.

With Pandemonium already leaving the park and Apocalypse set to follow suit the big thrill rides are fading fast with only Shockwave still hoping to be the last one standing in the years to come.

Drayton Manor was formerly family-run and managed over a 70-year period until it was purchased by the Looping Group in 2020.

Managing Director Victoria Lynn had the following to say about the new re-brand which includes a brand new Drayton Manor website (which is beautiful by the way).

“The future of Drayton Manor Resort is certainly bright, and I am delighted to be joining such an incredibly talented team at a pivotal time of growth and positive change for the brand, while ensuring they continue to feel inspired and motivated to deliver the best possible experiences for guests.

“The relaunch of the brand has been in the works for a long time, and so much thought, care and meticulous planning has gone into creating our new logo and values, which really bring to life who we are and why we exist, alongside solidifying our core principles and attitudes towards the care of our guests, and the sustainability of our business operations.

“It also frames the future direction of the resort perfectly, with a shift in focus over the coming years to capture a more diverse family thrill audience, with new rides, attractions and immersive experiences that cater to guests of all ages.

“I look forward to working closely with the team to continue driving growth and development of an already exceptional family destination, with a shared vision of creating unforgettable memories to be shared and relived.”
