Hackney Christmas Market is bringing the festive fun as guests fill up on festive treats and warm up with some wintery brews.
This famously conscious and cultured coming together of festive fun takes place at Bohemia Place Market in Hackney on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Saturday 26th November. This year’s market will be the best Bohemia Place has ever seen with a vast mix of workshops, street food, mulled wine, artisan products, gifts and ethically sourced goodies from London’s best independent traders. Local small businesses and traders will be offering ethical, vegan and sustainably sourced crafts and unique gifts including artisan clothing, skincare products, jams and pickles, jewellery, candles plus everything else from olive oils, greeting cards, teas, chilli sauce, homewares, toys, original art and so much more.
To keep you well fuelled there will be a vegan hog roast from The Hogless Roast, Caribbean style fish and chips from Heads & Tails, tacos and churros from Mex Club, Sri Lankan street food from Ceylon Kothu, authentic jerk from Yard 2 Yard, wood fired pizza from Freewheelin and vegan Cypriot kebabs from Vebab It plus much more to be revealed later. For those with a sweet tooth, The Female Glaze offers vegan desserts, Millie Martindale’s brings delicious pastries and doughnuts and Livi’s Baked Goodies pile up the cakes.
You can also expect a world of wonderful workshops and entertainment to add extra fun to your visit including Santa’s Grotto, Xmas Bingo, Candle Making, Sip N’ Paint, FIFA World Cup screenings, Christmas trees galore and Live Music. This year’s Xmas Bingo aptly named ‘Christmessy Bingo’ will be hosted by House of Dinosaur featuring tunes from Carey to Carols and it’s your chance to get festive, win prizes and party.
The world cup will be screened at The Hackney Social venue on a massive HD Cinema Screen with a club soundsystem. DJs will also spin on Friday nights when the football’s not on. On Friday nights, a selection of East London’s finest breweries will be serving up a range of innovative craft beers from hearty IPAs to crisp lagers and plenty of enticing pints at; Hackney Church Brew Co., Pressure Drop Brewing, Brew Club and Deviant & Dandy Brewery. Alongside them will be a selection of breweries from further afield including traditional bohemian-style lagers from Czechs in London, CBD-infused beer by Cannabrew, Werewolf Beer, Jiddlers Tipple, Neckstamper, Pretty Decent Beer Co. and more to be announced.
