Today we sat down with Merlin CEO Scott O’Neil to chat about life since he took over the role as CEO of the company.
Scott discussed the trials and tribulations involved in what just so happens to be one of the funnest jobs in the world but it doesn’t come without complexities.
Travelling the world visiting hundreds of Merlin attractions and with the weight of a world-leading portfolio on his shoulders Scott takes it all in his stride with a big smile on his face.
His drive and enthusiasm is infectious as he talks about the American mentality of ‘bigger and better’ and how he plans to bring that to the table of Merlin investments not just in rides but entertainment experiences and theming.
Entertainment experiences was a major factor that Scott is interested in bringing to more Merlin portfolio attractions which is an exciting thought for some of our UK parks severely lacking in this department.
