ReCreate History with The Beam at Rockefeller Center

The Beam at Rockerfella Center

Introducing The Beam at Rockefeller Center as guests can soar atop one of New York City’s tallest buildings and recreate the iconic moment when 11 ironworkers were captured casually eating atop the skyscraper 800 feet above the ground in 1932.

“Top of the Rock: The Beam” is a new attraction located on the 69th floor of Rockefeller Center.

The beam fastens visitors in before they lift 12 feet above the 30 Rockefeller Plaza observation deck before rotating outwards 180 degrees for incredible views of Central Park and beyond.

Get your cameras at the ready as this incredible photo opportunity is an exhilarating and iconic tribute to a wonderful piece of photographic history.

The crew who helped to build one of New York’s most iconic structures was a diverse group indeed with a mix of Irish, Italians, Scandinavians, Germans, Eastern Europeans and even Mohawk people from Canada.

This brand new attraction has been added to enhance the visitor experience on its observation deck and in 2024 a brand new experience called the Sky Lift will debut on the 70th floor and lift visitors 30 feet above the uppermost rooftop upon a circular glass platform.
