Alton Towers have dropped a lovely helicopter smack bang in the middle of the turnaround for their most loved rollercoaster Nemesis.
The helicopter is the latest theming addition outside of the station to be spotted and we were sent some incredible aerial imagery of the site showcasing the currently untamed helicopter in position and ready for its Phalanx makeover.
This latest piece of theming further adds speculation that the entirety of Forbidden Valley will be themed around a military zone and may not even be called Forbidden Valley when Nemesis reopens to the public in 2024.
Excitement is brewing as Alton Manor (the brand new rethemed around opening in 2024 along with The Curse at Alton Manor dark ride) set the precedent for well themed and immersive spaces and with big grandiose theming pieces such as this being lowered into place the stage is set for Forbidden Valley to follow suit in regards to its immersive theming.
The area has felt very tired for a long time now and it gets even worse around the Galactica rollercoaster area as the ride is in need of some TLC especially with every other area of the park getting a sprucing up with new buildings being constructed, a new shiny rollercoaster reopening and other areas getting extra theming elements and a good sprucing up.
Galactica will stand out like a sore thumb next season in this new area so one can only expect work will take place on that particular ride in 2025 to bring it up to scratch to fit in with the area more prominently.

This will be the last Nemesis 2024 update we will do on the channel as we’d like to keep some things a secret ahead of the coasters exciting rebirth in 2024.
